A marked.day page is one dated page with a photo and a message. It stays sealed until its date, then opens for whoever has the link.
You can add a voice note or a video, not both. The photo always stays. Many pages can share a date. The homepage spot is the one exception: there is one per date, from midnight to midnight New York time, and it is its own product, so the $49 already includes your page. Marking one back costs $4 instead of $5, once for each gift page you received, within 30 days of it opening. It covers the page itself; add-ons and homepage spots stay full price. It cannot be combined with a free-page code. A free-page code works once, can expire, and has no cash value. A free homepage spot still goes through the same review. If you delete the page, nothing is refunded, because nothing was paid, and the code is not given back.
A page opens at midnight on its date, in the timezone you pick when you mark it. Unless you change it, that is your own timezone. Nothing on the page, photo and media included, is sent to anyone before then. A page dated today opens at once, so it cannot be edited or refunded.
A page with a homepage spot opens at midnight New York time, when its day on the homepage starts.
Until it opens you can edit a page or move it to another date, as long as the new date is today or later and no more than one year ahead. The link stays the same. A page with a homepage spot keeps its date: delete it for a refund and mark a new one.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Your bank usually shows them within 5 to 10 business days.
What you put on your page is up to you, within a few rules. Please don't post:
Anyone can report a page. A person reads every report, and we may remove pages that break these rules.
You keep ownership of what you put on your page. You give us permission to store it, to show it to the people you share the link with, and, if you switch on Show in the archive, to show it in the public archive. We use that permission only to run marked.day.
The permission ends when you delete the page, apart from backups, which clear within 30 days. You promise that the photos, messages, voice notes and videos you add are yours to share, or that you have permission.
If a page uses your work without permission, write to abuse@marked.day. Please include the link to the page, what of yours it uses, your name and contact details, and a statement that you own the work or act for the owner and that your notice is accurate. We will look at it promptly, may remove the page, and may tell the person who made it.
If you think we removed a page by mistake, write to the same address and we will take another look.
Your page stays online for as long as marked.day exists. If that ever changes, we will email you first and give you time to download your pages.
Payments are handled by Stripe on their own secure checkout page. We never see or store your card number. Prices are in US dollars. If you leave checkout before paying, nothing is charged. A homepage date is held for about 40 minutes while you check out. If a payment arrives after the hold was released, we refund it automatically. Prices include any VAT that applies. We can't take payments from every country yet; checkout tells you if yours isn't open, and a payment that arrives from a country that isn't open is refunded in full.
marked.day is provided as is. We work to keep every page safe and online, but we cannot promise the site will never be down or that nothing will ever be lost. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or lost profits, and our total liability for any problem is limited to what you paid us for the page involved. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law.
We may change these terms. If a change matters, we will email you before it starts. You can stop using marked.day any time. We may remove pages or close accounts that break these rules.
These terms follow the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Florida.
